The tour highlights the heritage sites of Kathmandu that include a domed shaped Buddhist stupas at the hill top. The exploration of Pashupatinath, the biggest shrine of the country takes you closer to Hindu principle, which defines life, death & devotion in between so wonderfully. Visit to Durbar Square located at Kathmandu valley gives you an opportunity to sight admired artistic works of the past.

The tour also highlights intriguing wildlife activities at Chitwan National Park. It is the first protected wildlife park of Nepal and also an UNESCO enlisted Natural Heritage Site. The sightings of endangered species like One Horned Rhino, Gharial & Bengal Tiger are pretty high during wildlife activities at the park.

Day 1: Arrive to Kathmandu & transfer to hotel (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: Dinner)+

The first view of Nepal from the window of your plane could be a lifetime memorable view as the clear wide and white range of Himalayas shine straight in-front of your eyes. The ecstatic beauty is so rare that you won’t be able to blink your eyes. Welcome to Nepal; a large heaven within this small planet Earth. On your arrival in Kathmandu International Airport, one of our representative will pick up you and escort you to the hotel as well as help you to check-in at hotel. After your refreshment, you will be briefed about the next day trip. In the evening, we, the Hiking Nepal will offer you a welcome dinner introducing Nepalese cuisine and culture.

Day 2: Cultural tour in Kathmandu (Option: Mt. Flight) (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: Breakfast)+

After your delightful breakfast, you will be introduced with guide and takes you to UNESCO Heritages sites of the valley where you will observe living heritage of Medieval Nepal – Witness the biggest Hindu temple of Nepal, Pashupatinath and capture the sacred moments of Hindu death ritual at Aryaghat in Pashupatinath. Stroll the lively streets of Kathmandu Old Market Asan to Kathmandu Durbar Square and visit the home of The Living Goddess Kumari, Nepalese style of Architecture as well as astonishing wooden carving. A short drive from Kathmandu Durbar Square will take you to a hill top stupa called as “Swyambhu” meaning “self -emerge” and belief that the hill emerged impulsively from the great lake that once covered Kathmandu valley.

If you wish, we can also organize a Mountain Flight by fixed wings. Early Morning, you will be escorted to Domestic airport in Kathmandu. The reward of this flight is to show you Mt. Everest and other surroundings peaks from closer possible distance. You can view tremendous mountains including Langtang (7234m), Gosainthan (8013m), DorjeLakpa (6975m), Gauri-Sanker (7134m), Lhotse (8516m), and non-other than Mount Everest (8848m) from closer.

Day 3: Drive to Chitwan (Option: en-route rafting at Trishuli River) (Altitude: 150 m/ 495 ft. Drive: 5/6 hrs. Meal: BLD)+

Take breakfast and get ready to catch a bus to drive to Chitwan.  You will drive along the Trishuli River in a snaky black topped Prithvi Highway viewing the green hill and highway life.  Reaching Chitwan, you can get refresh and get back to Lobby for a short brief about the Chitwan Tour program by your Safari Guide. After a while, get ready to go for Tharu village walk. Tharu, is ethnic group hugely settled in the Terai belt of Nepal. Explore traditional houses of Tharus, their lifestyle and even go to visit a museum that exhibits the traditional items representing Tharu culture. In the evening, don’t missed to go in the bank of Rapti River for a perfect sun set view. Your guide will give you a time to get ready for a Tharu cultural dance show; enjoy the Tharu stick dance and a crazy peacock dance reflecting the traditional lifestyles. Have delightful dinner at hotel and a wonderful time.

Additionally, if you wish, we can also organize a rafting program at Trishuli River. Rafting adventure en-route to Chitwan could be a bonus highlight of the tour.

Day 4: Safari Activities (Altitude: 150 m/ 495 ft. Meal: BLD)+

Chitwan National Park is natural Heritage Site where the endangered rare species like One-horned Rhino and Royal Bengal Tiger are preserved. Today, you will get involved in several jungle activities. You shall be taken to the dugout canoe ride that gives an opportunity to see aquatic life inside the park as well as the rich bird life park houses. See crocodiles including the protected Gharial in the bank of Rapti River. Gharial is an endangered species of crocodile found in Nepal along the tributaries of Ganges. The most important highlight at the park is Elephant Ride deep into the jungle, where you can get enough opportunities to sight one-horned rhino and if lucky enough, you might sight the Bengal Tiger. In the evening, we shall again enjoy the Tharu cultural dance.

Day 5: Safari Activities (Altitude: 150 m/ 495 ft. Meal: BLD)+

It will be the final day in Chitwan. Get involved in every activities like nature walk, bird watching, Jeep safari and grasp an opportunities to see the wild life from closer. Participate yourself in Elephant Bathing, visit Elephant Breeding center where, elephants are kept, fed and cared. The baby elephant playing with each other and family of wild boar just hiding themselves and taking elephant’s food really keeps enjoying whole day.

Day 6: Morning nature walk & then drive to Kathmandu (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Drive: 5/6 hrs. Meal: Breakfast/Dinner)+

Today, guide shall take you for an early morning nature walk in the wildlife park, which is an opportunity for sighting birds’ species. After walk, have breakfast and then drive along the same road as traveled on Day 3 all the way back to Kathmandu. On arrival at Kathmandu we check into our hotel &get refreshed and relaxed. In the evening, we, Hiking Nepal, will offer you a farewell dinner at authentic restaurant. You can share your experience, feedback us and give us a chance to make your evening a wonderful time. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 7: Depart Kathmandu (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: Breakfast)+

Our tour officer will pick you up from your hotel three hours prior to your departure time. You will be escorted in a private vehicle to the airport for your final departure. Have a safe flight home.

Nepal Visa & Getting in to Nepal
All the foreign nationals (except Indian nationals) are required to display Visa while entering Nepal. Nepalese Visa can be obtained either at Nepalese Embassy of respective country or can be obtained during your arrival at the International Airport in Kathmandu or from the Nepal’s border entry point. However, certain nationals are requested to arrange Visa prior to arrival in Nepal. The listed countries are- Afghanistan, Iraq, Cameroon, Ghana, Somalia, Swaziland, Palestine, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Ethiopia and Liberia and cannot secure Nepalese Visa on arrival.
Requirements: Traveler should have a valid passport for at least six months, recent digital photos (size: 1.5″ x 1.5″) and Visa fees (either US$ or equivalent) mentioned as below:

Group Size
For Tour, group size do not hamper however, we normally run with minimum 2 person to maximum 10 in our published group departure program. Even, private trip is run without any barrier on group size. Even, we run a trip for single person and for more than 10 in a group.

Meals and accommodations
During your stay in Kathmandu, we accommodate you in 3 star category hotel in a comfortable and relaxing environment. Breakfast is included with room accommodation. Normally, based on your group size, you will be accommodated in twin or triple sharing basis. In case of single room stay in a group, you will require to pay single supplement charge mentioned in our trip cost. Also, if you wish to upgrade hotel accommodation, we can accommodate you in respective hotels with surcharge.

On your arrival in Kathmandu and a day before your departure for homeland, we Hiking Nepal Team will invite you for Welcome and Farewell dinner. You will be taken to an authentic restaurant serving Nepali Cuisine with some cultural Dance Show. For your other day’s meals, you can get hygienic restaurants providing verities of taste including continental, Chinese, Italian, Nepalese and many more.

Similarly, for your stay at Chitwan, you will be accommodation in standard resort with full board meal course. The room will be provided in a sharing basis that could be either twin or triple depending on group size. Meals includes Breakfast, Lunch, Hi Tea, and Dinner and is served by Hotel itself.

Regarding upgrade in Hotel accommodation, we can accommodate in 3 to 5 star range to Boutique Hotels based on your suggestion.

Transportation
On your arrival in Kathmandu and during city tour, we, Hiking Nepal, will provide you a private vehicle depending on your group size. However, for a drive outside Kathmandu valley, you will be driving by public tourist standard vehicle. If you are uncomfortable in such driving, we shall arrange a private vehicle for you with additional surcharge. Please suggest us in advance.

Best Season for Tour
For Tour in Nepal, you can travel whole year and every season display different scenarios.  However, it is wise to know about climatic season. Normally, 2 season are considered best: Spring and autumn and season is categories in 4 different climatic seasons:
Spring (March, April, May):
During this time, temperature is mildly warm in low lands while moderate in higher altitudes with plenty of opportunities to have astonishing views of the mountains and landscape. At this time, the blossom flowers especially national flower of Nepal – rhododendron decorate the ascending altitudes with its generous color and beauty. Even the High altitude lodges get opened and get occupied with the mountain lovers.
Summer (June, July, and August):                                                                                                               This is also the monsoon season in Nepal. At this time, the weather is hot and wet at times. It rains almost every day with occasional thunderstorms in the evening. The rain spreads the pleasantness around with lush green vegetation. If you are planning to trek in this season, we suggest to choose rain shaded areas of Nepal. Even, if you do not mind rain, and wants to trek in this season, you should compulsorily bring umbrella, pancho, proper waterproof hiking boots, wind proof jackets, baggage wrap, and raincoat as well as required insect repellent. Likewise, the reward of this month is the view of lush green valley captured by small flowers. It is a wonderful time to observe monsoon cycle of agriculture and the traditional life of Nepalese people.
Autumn (September, October and November):
This time is considered to be the best tourist season in Nepal with the end of summer and the winter to set in. The weather is highly pleasant so are the mountain views. The trekking routes get beautified with the presence of trekkers and expedition groups. Meantime, most of the festivals of Nepalese societies are enthusiastically celebrated at this time.
Winter (December, January and February):
During this time, the weather is cool and the sky is clear with occasional snowfalls at higher elevations. At this time, trekking in lower elevation is fine however, at the high altitude, most of the lodges get closed and it will be a bit difficult to cross high altitude passes. This season is good for trekking in lower elevations. The morning and night get extreme cold sometime reaching temperature at (-) minus but the days are warm and pleasant.

Travel Insurance: 
While travelling to Nepal, you are requested to have a travel insurance that should cover any comprehensive expenses possible to acquire due to medical issues or accidents. Especially, your travel insurance must protect air ambulance, treatment charges, rescue and evacuation, product cancellation and refundable charges, flight delay and cancellations. We suggest you to bring your travel insurance certificate or send us scan copy and it must be issued from your home land. We do not arrange or sell insurance.

Vaccination 
It is better to follow the precaution given by World Health Organization and other international health related institutions that recommend having vaccines before travelling Nepal to prevent from certain fatal illness. If possible, we suggest you to bring your medical certificate however, it is not required to show but for safety. The recommended vaccines are polio, Diphtheria, Tetanus, typhoid, yellow fever, hepatitis A/B, Influenza (Flu), Japanese encephalitis, and Tuberculosis. Meantime, it is better to consult your professional doctor about your travel and he might recommend you properly. You can also take suggestion of local travelers who have travelled Nepal before and know more about the required precautions. Please note that the protection that can be gained from vaccines varies from 50% to almost 100%. So remember that even if you have taken a vaccine you might still get the disease, although you will have greatly reduced your chances of getting ill.
