An excellent trek taking to the rim of Annapurna region witnessing fabulous views of snowcapped mountains strike with sunrays from Poon Hill.


This low altitude trek to the Annapurna foothill is a panoramically attention-grabbing trek chock-full with magnificent Himalayan views along the dense tropical vegetation. Outstanding cultural display of Gurung ethnics which is specifically designed for the cultural enthusiasts and the family is welcoming. The trek slots in enough time in the traditional villages for the cultural outlook. Every campsite on the trek is full of life; you have plenty of options to join the crew and the villagers and get involved in the activities like dancing, singing and playing. During the visit the local schools and markets you will experience the cultural horizon at these localities display immense variations to the urban cities of Nepal.

During the trek you get to go through the magnificent oak and rhododendron forests as you come up to alpine meadows that give the spectacular views of the Annapurna Range.  The pre-dawn trek to Poonhill from Ghorepani is simply a mind blowing trek. Poonhill, one of the best  Himalayan view-points of the world offer the golden panoramas of Annapurnas, Dhaulagiri, Tukuche Peak and other Himalayan giants glittering with the first ray of sun falling upon them. The sunrise would never look so beautiful once you witness it from Poonhill. The popular vantage point of Poon Hill is at an altitude of 3193 meters. Poonhill is the most visited trekking destination of Nepal because of the magnificent sunrise view that complements mesmerizing sight of Himalayan range. Day 01 Arrive Kathmandu, transfer to Hotel; Welcome Dinner (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: Dinner)

On your arrival in Kathmandu International Airport, one of our office representative will pick up you and escort you to the hotel as well as help you to check-in at hotel. After refreshment, you will be briefed about the next day trip. In the evening, we, the Hiking Nepal, will offer you a welcome dinner introducing Nepalese cuisine and culture.


Day 02 Cultural Tour to UNESCO Heritage Site in Kathmandu (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: Breakfast)

After your delightful breakfast, you will be introduced with guide and takes you to UNESCO Heritages sites of the valley where you will observe living heritage of Medieval Nepal - Witness the biggest Hindu temple of Nepal, Pashupatinath and capture the sacred moments of Hindu death ritual at Aryaghat in Pashupatinath. Stroll the lively streets of Kathmandu Old Market Asan to Kathmandu Durbar Square and visit the home of The Living Goddess Kumari, Nepalese style of Architecture as well as astonishing wooden carving. A short drive from Kathmandu Durbar Square will take you to a hill top stupa called as “Swyambhu” meaning “self -emerge” and belief that the hill emerged impulsively from the great lake that once covered Kathmandu valley.


Day 03 Drive to Pokhara (Altitude: 823 m/2710 ft. Drive: 5/6 hrs. Meal: Breakfast)

Early morning, after breakfast, catch Tourist bus or we can also organize a private vehicle for you. Viewing countryside villages, farm, shops and river, you will reach at Pokhara. A beautiful place with tremendous views of mountains and lakes. You can also go for Boating at Fewa Lake. Overnight at Hotel.


Day 04 Drive to Nayapul, trek to Hile (Altitude: 1430 m/4720 ft. Trek: 3-4 hrs. Drive: 1 hrs. Meal: BLD)

After breakfast, you will have a short drive on the narrow and snaky mountainous highway viewing the green valley and rural life. Within an hour of drive, you will reach at Nayapul, and starts trek in the Annapurna region. It will be an easy walk for around 3 and half hours to reach Hille. Following a trail alongside of Modi River, you will reach at Birethanti. It is a junction of two rivers, Modi and Bhurungdi. Please check your ACAP and TIMS card, otherwise, you can issue here that allows you to trek further. Now, you will walk following Burungdi River enjoying beautiful forest, waterfalls and locals, arrive at Hille. You will views the admirable culture and ancient style of terraces farming. Spend overnight at local lodge.


Day 05 Trek to Ghorepani (Altitude: 2860 m/9438 ft. Trek: 6-7 hrs. Meal: BLD)

Today, you will be walking for long time in an uphill trail. Walking for a while you will cross a suspension bridge over Burungdi Khola and gradually climbs over the steep stone steps hill. Continuously walking uphill for hours, you will reach at hilltop ridge Ulleri. Here, you will have lunch and spend your valuable time taking picturesque views of Himalayas and the valley. Beyond Ulleri, the trail traverses along the gradual uphill and downhill climbs most of the times winds through the cool shade of forest and gushing streams. You will walk in the midst of the giant rhododendron forest cross pass small villages with few teahouses like Banthati and finally reach at Ghorepani. Ghorepan- Deurali is a busy spot on a ridge in the midst of the beautiful rhododendron forest, offering fantastic views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayan range. Overnight at Ghorepani.


Day 06 Early Morning excursion to Poon hill; Trek to Tadapani, (Altitude: Poonhill: 3210 m/10531 ft. Tadapani: 2,600m/8528 ft. Trek: 6-7 hrs. Meal: BLD)

Day 07 Trek Tadapani to Ghandruk, Overnight at local lodge. (Altitude: 1,990 m/6567 ft. Trek: 3-4 hrs. Trek: BLD)

Enjoy breakfast with the sparkling sunrise views over the mountains- Mt. Annapurna south, Himchuli & Fishtail that seems very close from Tadapani. After the breakfast, the Annapurna Panorama Trek resumes. Today you will trek throughout winds downhill through the dense forest of rhododendron. 3-4 hours of trek from Tadapani brings us at Ghandruk. Ghandruk is one of the biggest Gurung villages of Annapurna Region. It is an impressive Gurung village. Explore remaining time to around the village to see typical Gurung culture, visit the Gurung museum and hike aorund the hills nearby Ghandruk. Spend overnight at local lodge.


Day 08 Trek Ghandruk to Birethanti Nayapul drive to Pokhara, (Altitude: 823m/2,700ft. Trek: 4-5 hrs. Meal: BL)

Descend down all the way to Khimche on the long series of stony steps. While descending down witness the different view of Mt. Fishtail. Beyond Kimche the walk is pleasant most of the way following the River side till Birethanthi. From Birethanti, trek on the retracing trail to Nayapul. You will be picked up by a private vehicle at Nayapul and drive back to hotel in Pokhara. Explore the streets of Pokhara in the evening, release all your trek exhaustion and enjoy. Spend overnight at local lodge.


Day 09 Drive/Fly to Kathmandu (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: B/D)

Now, it’s a time to return back to Kathmandu. You can either fly or drive back to Kathmandu. Spend your time as you like. Evening time, we invite you for farewell dinner at authentic restaurant. You can share your experience, feedback us and give us a chance to make your evening a wonderful time. Overnight at Hotel.


Day 10 Departure (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: Breakfast)

Group Size:
For group, we normally run with minimum 2 person to maximum 10 in our published group departure program. However, there is no barrier for a private trip. We can run a trip for single person and even more than 10 in a group. Normally for a group, we provide 1 main guide, 1 assistance guide along with 1 porter for every 2 trekkers. Moreover, for every additional 2 trekkers, 1 more assistance and a porter will be provided making a team combination as follows:

Minimum to 2 PAX: 1 Guide and 1 porter
4-6 PAX: 1 guide, 1 assistance guide and 3 porter
7-10 PAX: 1 guide, 2 assistance guide and 4/5 Porter

Guide and Trip Safety
Once, you confirm your trip, it is our responsibility to make your trip wonderful without creating any difficulties. Hence, we have prepared our itinerary in such a way that it will properly acclimatize you. Also, we request you in advance to have regular exercises and make habits to walk in a daily basis. Similarly, during trek, you will be fully guided by our professional trekking guides and supporting team. They are properly trained in regards to safety and first aid. Even, we have every set up in case of emergency such as high altitude medicine and Gammow Bag (High altitude Chamber bag). Please note High altitude Chamber Bag is used to provide heat in your body and it is available on certain cost. Moreover, to let you familiar with altitude, you are suggested to walk slow and steady and ensure for proper acclimatization.

For trekking, we provide local experienced guide speaking fluent English and familiar with the local routes, landscape, flora, fauna as well as culture, and tradition of certain areas and let you feel comfortable. We do not encourage for child labor, hence, our porter will be above 16 years that are living in the Himalayas of Nepal; as well as carries only 20-22 kg weight per porter. Normally, the guide and support teams are selected with proper analyzing of their experience, leadership skills and personal aptitude. Our guides are well familiar with different societies of all caste and customs along the trail and share the insight culture with you that are not even noted in guide book.

To make our staffs more fluent and experienced, we consistently provide trainings. They have been participating in special training programs like Trekking guide training, Rock climbing, Ice climbing, Intensive Wilderness first Aid and many more that has been certified and approved by Nepal Government.

Travel Insurance
While travelling to Nepal, you are requested to have a travel insurance that should cover any comprehensive expenses possible to acquire due to medical issues or accidents. Especially, your travel insurance must protect air ambulance, treatment charges, rescue and evacuation, product cancellation and refundable charges, flight delay and cancellations. We suggest you to bring you travel insurance certificate or send us scan copy and required to issue from your home land and we do not arrange or sell insurance.

Travelling in the Himalayas is full of adventurous; hence it is wise to choose a proper insurance policy. While choosing your insurance policy, make sure that it will protect all such unforeseen expenses. Your insurer should be well familiar with our itinerary that you have booked and must have agreed to cover all activities being undertaken during trip. Meantime, it is not compulsory that our all the assigned trip are facilities with Heli-rescue. You will not require heli rescue insurance for Tibet Tour as it is not possible to provide such facility.

Vaccination
It is better to follow the precaution given by World Health Organization and other international health related institutions that recommend having vaccines before travelling Nepal to prevent from certain fatal illness. If possible, we suggest you to bring your medical certificate however, it is not required to show but for safety. The recommended vaccines are polio, Diphtheria, Tetanus, typhoid, yellow fever, hepatitis A/B, Influenza (Flu), Japanese encephalitis, and Tuberculosis. Meantime, it is better to consult your professional doctor about your travel and he might recommend you properly. You can also take suggestion of local travelers who have travelled Nepal before and know more about the required precautions. Please note that the protection that can be gained from vaccines varies from 50% to almost 100%. So remember that even if you have taken a vaccine you might still get the disease, although you will have greatly reduced your chances of getting ill.

High Altitude Sickness
At the higher altitude, you will feel a decrease in availability of oxygen. If a person walk in the high altitude particularly climbs up too quickly, he might suffer from High altitude sickness. Hence, proper rest is required at that altitude. You can cure at right time knowing certain symptoms of Altitude Sickness. Common symptoms are headache, loss of appetite, tiredness and nausea, vomiting, dizziness and difficulty in sleeping. The best remedies that local belief and take is taking garlic, or ginger in mouth. Eat dry food and take liquid as much as possible. We recommend Diamox if there is no any options.

Also, we provide experienced guide and staffs in dealing with the effects of higher altitudes. As they are natives of Nepal, they easily acclimatize and therefore can care for their clients. They are equipped with necessary medical supplies and will assist with basic first aid treatment. We design our tours to ensure clients are ready for high altitude, and arrange alternative itineraries for those at risk.

While travelling to a destination, there might occurs a series of questions, such as what should I bring, level of fitness, insurance, security, right time, visa procedure etc. Hence, to solve with such queries, here is prepared list with feasible answers.

Trekking in Nepal is walking in the Himalayas, on mostly level ground with a few sections of steep hillsides- ups and down. It is not so difficult nor too easy to trek Everest Base camp. Your health and physical fitness is vital. Hence, if you can walk 5 miles a day and in a good aerobic shape, you will definitely complete the trek. And you can trek smoothly if you are used to with some walking habits and even join some gym, aerobics. Also, it is better to build a habits of hiking for 3 to 6 hours once a week and use stairs ups and down to make your knees strong and comfortable to walk in the Rocky Mountains. If you are in a good shape, you can enjoy the overall experience.

Nepal is safe for travelling to anybody who wish to spend their holidays with fun and excitements. If you are travelling solo, involved with authorized company and make sure that you should be guided by licensed holder local guides. The Himalayas of Nepal is you trek in the remote site. However, most of the trekking destination are facilitated with the available of accommodating ranging from very basic to highly sophisticated. As you go up, the accommodation will be basic but neat and clean beds with comfortable mattress. Beds are quite small and shared bathroom (some lodges also offer attached bathroom). There is chimney heater in the dining hall where tables are set around to sit nearby heater. We provide clean and comfortable room with attached bathroom at the places where it is available. For meals, you will be served sufficient hygienic food. Our service includes a full board meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Tea/Coffee) based on lodge menu. Normally, for breakfast; porridge, cereals, toast or chapattis, omelets and a range of hot drinks are served. Likewise for Lunch and Dinner; you can taste some Nepalese food (esp. rice, lentils and curry), local food, Indian food, Italian Spaghetti, noodles, potatoes, even Pizza in some areas. It is obvious that you will receive fresh and organic food in the Himalayas of Nepal. Your breakfast and dinner will be served in lodge where you stay and lunch on the way during trek.

For trekking in Nepal, you will be guided by locally trained licensed holder trekking guide who are involved in trekking for many years and used to with the trail, local culture and surrounding. They speak good English and make you feel comfortable while trekking.

While trekking in high altitude, headache and diarrhea is common sickness and our guide will take some prescribed medicine. But for the serious illness and other factor, they are not authorized to take the medicine. But help to take you to the hospital or evacuated back to Kathmandu. Also, you can bring Diamox or other medicine after consulting with your doctor or general physician.

For trekking in Nepal, usually two season are considered best (i.e. Spring: March, April, May and Autumn: September, October, November). During spring time, temperature is mildly warm in low lands while moderate in higher altitudes with plenty of opportunities to have astonishing views of the mountains and landscape. At this time, the blossom flowers especially national flower of Nepal – rhododendron decorate the ascending altitudes with its generous color and beauty. Even the High altitude lodges get opened and get occupied with the mountain lovers. Autumn (September, October and November): This time is considered to be the best tourist season in Nepal with the end of summer and the winter to set in. The weather is highly pleasant so are the mountain views. The trekking routes get beautified with the presence of trekkers and expedition groups. Meantime, most of the festivals of Nepalese societies are enthusiastically celebrated at this time.
