Everest Luxury Trek is for those trekkers, who prefer to sight the best of Everest Region without putting much effort as the trekkers to Everest Base Camp Trek put. However, it does not mean the trek is considered easy. Trekkers have to walk at least 5-6 hours a day for more than a week, which is surely a demanding task for the beginners.

Prior to the trek, we will a day allocated for the sightseeing tour of Kathmandu’s most wonderful and historically significant heritage sites. As the trek begins with the thrilling Trans Himalayan flight to Lukla, trekkers walk through the deep Dudh Koshi River Valley that stretches through the famous Sagarmatha National Park. Enjoy the floral diversity of the park and if you are lucky enough you will see the endangered highland species of mammals and birds.

The villages like Mende, Tengboche and Namche offer you the firsthand experience of unique Sherpa culture. The highland monasteries, long line of sacred mani-walls and the colorful prayer flags fluttering the high skies demonstrate pious Buddhist culture of the region. Eventually, the views of Himalayan giants so close and magnificent will continuously mesmerize you. Day 1: Arrive to Kathmandu (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: Dinner)+

The first view of Nepal from the window of your plane could be a lifetime memorable view as the clear wide and white range of Himalayas shine straight in-front of your eyes. The ecstatic beauty is so rare that you won’t be able to blink your eyes. Welcome to Nepal; a large heaven within this small planet Earth. As you step out of the airport our representative and a driver will receive you with a pleasant smiling welcome on their faces. You will be escorted to your hotel in the city in a car. Our representative will take complete care in processing your check-in into the hotel. After your refreshment, you will be briefed about the next day trip. In the evening, we, the Hiking Nepal will offer you a welcome dinner introducing Nepalese cuisine and culture.

Day 2: Kathmandu Cultural Tour (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: Breakfast)+

Kathmandu is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The city presents a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence. Early morning enjoy the breakfast and head towards the most popular Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva- Pashupatinath. Pashupatinath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is considered the holiest place in Nepal to cremate the departed ones. You can easily witness the culture of Hindu funeral in Aryaghat at Pashupatinath. Then few minutes’ walk will bring you to Boudhnath, which is one of the biggest Buddhist shrines in the world. In this UNESCO World Heritage Site you can observe Buddhist monks absorbed in prayer surrounding the stupa. The Tibetan flavor is well observed in the backstreets of Boudhannath. Then, you will have your lunch in a typical Buddhist restaurant in Boudhanath. After the lunch, you will drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square. This ancient courtyard is incredible with enormous craftsmanship expertise of the local inhabitants of primeval and medieval ages. The stone paved streets, pagoda style edifices and the religious monuments inclusive different deities are the cultural displays at the site. After, the thorough see through over these world heritage sites you will probably let go your exhaustion at your cozy hotel room.

Day 3: Fly to Lukla and trek to Monjo (Altitude: 2840/ 9372 ft. Monjo: 2656 m/8765 ft. Flight: 30 minutes Trek: 3/4 hrs. Meal: BLD)+

As per your flight schedule to Lukla, you will be transferred to the airport in a private vehicle. The thirty-minute flight to Lukla is one of the most thrilling flights, especially the landing moment. At the airport, your trek guide will take total care of you. He will brief you about the trek which will kick off in a few minutes. You will be trekking along the Dudh Koshi River to Phakding. Beyond Phakding, the trial goes up north to Dudh Koshi valley. The trial chases the amusing course alongside the DudhKoshi River then climbs to the village of Chumao. Passing the sparsely populated Sherpa hamlets and the magnificent woods of rhododendron, magnolia and giant firs the trail sharply slides down to the big valley of Monjo, and at this point, the trek officially enters Sagarmatha National Park on the first trekking day. It is a short trek of 3-4 hours to begin your trekking adventure. Overnight at a local lodge in Monjo.

Day 4: Trek to Namche (Altitude; 3440 m/11352 ft. Trek: 5/6 hrs. Meal: BLD)+

Early morning after breakfast, you will resume your trek. You will have your lunch in one of the tea houses on the way to Namche. Beyond the park entrance in Monjo, the trial goes through a steep rock-strewn descent to a large farm, and shortly you will arrive at Jorsale 2850m. Several steep descents and ascents after Jorsale will finally bring you to the Sherpa capital Namche 3450m. Overnight at a local lodge in Namche.

Day 5: Rest day at Namche (Altitude; 3440 m/11352 ft. Meal: BLD)+

Rest days while you are trek are especially designed to allow you to acclimatize properly. So, we recommend you to hike around Namche rather than staying with coffee or beers in a restaurant in Namche. Ask your guide who will help you exactly what to do on that particular day so that you will be acclimatizing well. Overnight in Namche.

Day 6: Trek to Tashinga (Altitude; 3450 m/11385 ft. (Meal: BLD)+

Today, you will set out on your journey to Tashinga via Khumjung. The shorter trail that goes to Khumjung climbs through the lush rhododendron forest. An hour climb beyond the forest will take you to Shyangboche (3700m). A beautifully located Sherpa village in Khumbu, Syangboche has the airport which is one of the high altitude airports in the world and the highest in Nepal. Beyond Syangboche, the trail slides up to cross passes a yak farm and a Buddhist stupa. Breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, and Amadablam throughout the trial will bring you to the final descent which continues to Khumjung and Sanasa before reaching Tashinga. Spend Overnight at Tashinga.

Day 7: Excursion trip to Tengboche, back to Tashinga. (Altitude: 3860 m/12738 ft. Trek: 4/5 hrs. Meal: BLD)+

Begins walking down through the rhododendron forest to the Dudh Koshi. Crossing a suspension bridge, almost two and a half hours of an uphill climb walk along the lush vegetation will bring you to Tengboche. Tengboche is renowned for its celebrated monastery, which is the largest in the entire Khumbu Region. The view of Mt. Amadablam as a backdrop of Tengboche Monastery is so far the most enchanting view from Tengboche. Also, the scenic view of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam rising in the closer scope is equally amazing. Spend your valuable time exploring the surrounding and retrace back to Tashinga for an overnight stay.

Day 8: Trek to Mende via Khumjung (Altitude: 3736m/12328 ft. Trek: 3/4 hrs. Meal: BLD)+

Following the Khumjung village trail, and exploring the monastery at Khumjung where the Yeti Scalp is displayed, you will walk up to the Bhote Koshi valley which leads to Renjola Pass is amazing since today you have behind the normal Everest Base Camp trial. You will walk along the broad dusty and rocky trails. As you walk more, the rural life starts getting unfold and the rawness of nature gets even rawer. After descending down to Bhote Koshi River, a steep up climb will finally bring you to Mende. Mende is a stopover point for the Tibetan traders who get to Namche crossing Nangma La Pass. Mende also known as Thame is also a popular destination for mountaineering activities with Mountain Training Schools. Thame Gompa, situated above the village overlooking the valley is the site for the spring celebrations of the Mani Rimdu festival.

Day 9: Trek to Monjo (Altitude: 2656 m/8765 ft. Trek: 3/4 hrs. (Meal: BLD)+

Exploring the Himalayan culture and lifestyle, you will descend down to Monjo via Namche. Traversing the rhododendron and magnolia forests exploring the monasteries at village like Namche you will be once again arrive to Monjo. Spend Overnight in luxury hotel.

Day 10: Trek to Lukla (Altitude: 2840/ 9372 ft. Trek: 4/5 hrs. (Meal: BLD)+

Yet again, trek through Dudh Koshi valley and retrace your path along Monjo and Phakding to reach to Lukla. On the way recall, the trek to Namche from Lukla was over 10 hours and took two hard days to complete. Now the reverse trek from Namche to Lukla is just 6-8 hours consuming simple single day. Congratulations your trek was amazingly perfect. At the end of Day 10, you arrive at Lukla and your trek concludes.

Day 11: Fly to Kathmandu (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Flight: 30 minutes (Meal: B/D)+

As per your flight schedule you will board the twin otter plane and fly back to Kathmandu. At Kathmandu, like in earlier occasion you will be received by a company representative and a driver. You will be escorted to your hotel room.  Evening time, we invite you for farewell dinner at authentic restaurant. You can share your experience, feedback us and give us a chance to make your evening a wonderful time.

Day 12: Final departure from Kathmandu (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. (Meal: Breakfast)+

Our tour officer will pick you up from your hotel three hours prior to your departure time. You will be escorted in a private vehicle to the airport for your final departure. Have a safe flight home.

Tips for Guide, porters, driver …

Group Size:

For group, we normally run with minimum 2 person to maximum 10 in our published group departure program. However, there is no barrier for a private trip. We can run a trip for single person and even more than 10 in a group. Normally for a group, we provide 1 main guide, 1 assistance guide along with 1 porter for every 2 trekkers. Moreover, for every additional 2 trekkers, 1 more assistance and a porter will be provided making a team combination as follows:

Minimum to 2 PAX: 1 Guide and 1 porter

4-6 PAX: 1 guide, 1 assistance guide and 3 porter

7-10 PAX: 1 guide, 2 assistance guide and 4/5 Porter

Guide and Trip Safety

Once, you confirm your trip, it is our responsibility to make your trip wonderful without creating any difficulties. Hence, we have prepared our itinerary in such a way that it will properly acclimatize you. Also, we request you in advance to have regular exercises and make habits to walk in a daily basis. Similarly, during trek, you will be fully guided by our professional trekking guides and supporting team. They are properly trained in regards to safety and first aid. Even, we have every set up in case of emergency such as high altitude medicine and Gammow Bag (High altitude Chamber bag). Please note High altitude Chamber Bag is used to provide heat in your body and it is available on certain cost. Moreover, to let you familiar with altitude, you are suggested to walk slow and steady and ensure for proper acclimatization.

For trekking, we provide local experienced guide speaking fluent English and familiar with the local routes, landscape, flora, fauna as well as culture, and tradition of certain areas and let you feel comfortable. We do not encourage for child labor, hence, our porter will be above 16 years that are living in the Himalayas of Nepal; as well as carries only 20-22 kg weight per porter. Normally, the guide and support teams are selected with proper analyzing of their experience, leadership skills and personal aptitude. Our guides are well familiar with different societies of all caste and customs along the trail and share the insight culture with you that are not even noted in guide book.

To make our staffs more fluent and experienced, we consistently provide trainings. They have been participating in special training programs like Trekking guide training, Rock climbing, Ice climbing, Intensive Wilderness first Aid and many more that has been certified and approved by Nepal Government.

Travel Insurance

While travelling to Nepal, you are requested to have a travel insurance that should cover any comprehensive expenses possible to acquire due to medical issues or accidents. Especially, your travel insurance must protect air ambulance, treatment charges, rescue and evacuation, product cancellation and refundable charges, flight delay and cancellations. We suggest you to bring you travel insurance certificate or send us scan copy and required to issue from your home land and we do not arrange or sell insurance.

Travelling in the Himalayas is full of adventurous; hence it is wise to choose a proper insurance policy. While choosing your insurance policy, make sure that it will protect all such unforeseen expenses. Your insurer should be well familiar with our itinerary that you have booked and must have agreed to cover all activities being undertaken during trip. Meantime, it is not compulsory that our all the assigned trip are facilities with Heli- rescue. You will not require heli rescue insurance for Tibet Tour as it is not possible to provide such facility.

Vaccination

It is better to follow the precaution given by World Health Organization and other international health related institutions that recommend having vaccines before travelling Nepal to prevent from certain fatal illness. If possible, we suggest you to bring your medical certificate however, it is not required to show but for safety. The recommended vaccines are polio, Diphtheria, Tetanus, typhoid, yellow fever, hepatitis A/B, Influenza (Flu), Japanese encephalitis, and Tuberculosis. Meantime, it is better to consult your professional doctor about your travel and he might recommend you properly. You can also take suggestion of local travelers who have travelled Nepal before and know more about the required precautions. Please note that the protection that can be gained from vaccines varies from 50% to almost 100%. So remember that even if you have taken a vaccine you might still get the disease, although you will have greatly reduced your chances of getting ill.

High Altitude Sickness

At the higher altitude, you will feel a decrease in availability of oxygen. If a person walk in the high altitude particularly climbs up too quickly, he might suffer from High altitude sickness. Hence, proper rest is required at that altitude. You can cure at right time knowing certain symptoms of Altitude Sickness. Common symptoms are headache, loss of appetite, tiredness and nausea, vomiting, dizziness and difficulty in sleeping. The best remedies that local belief and take is taking garlic, or ginger in mouth. Eat dry food and take liquid as much as possible. We recommend Diamox if there is no any options.

Also, we provide experienced guide and staffs in dealing with the effects of higher altitudes. As they are natives of Nepal, they easily acclimatize and therefore can care for their clients. They are equipped with necessary medical supplies and will assist with basic first aid treatment. We design our tours to ensure clients are ready for high altitude, and arrange alternative itineraries for those at risk.
