BOUDHANATH STUPA- STANDING HIGH AGAIN!

“Even natural disasters can’t keep Nepal down for long. The 2015 earthquake   caused devastation”- Lonely Planet. Claiming thousands of lives; huge number of heritage were destroyed and even collapsed during earthquake 2015. The restoration and renovation of heritage is must, disasters comes and goes. Now, it’s a time to bounce back. The good example of this is the standing of Boudhanath Stupa. Boudhanath Stupa is a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kathmandu valley lies in the northeast direction. It is one of the largest stupa of the world and a holiest site for the Buddhist. Huge number of devotees circumambulate the stupa during the morning and evening time. The earthquake of April 2015 has badly damaged the Boudhanath Stupa. Within a year after devastation, under supervision of Department of Archaeology, the Boudhanath Area Development Committee started to renovate the Stupa. With the good support of public, monks and volunteers, it has been completed now. Decoration of Sutpa with five color effect (red, blue, green, yellow and white) symbolizing five element gods- “Panchadhyani Buddha” named as Akshyobhya (Blue), Amitabha (Red), Ratnasambav (Yellow), Amogsiddhi (Green) and Birochana (White). The enthusiastic celebration of rebuilding Boudha Stupa held on 22nd November with an inauguration ceremony participated by huge number of well-wisher. The different sect of Buddhism offered a purification worship at the World Heritage- Boudha Sutpa
